Non-Grid Mammals Mammals were sighted occasionally in both non-grid sections, usually singly or in small groups, but they were not nearly as frequently seen as in the previous survey. In the northern section the following kinds were logged: Seals, Sea lions, Porpoise, and Whales. These kinds with the exception of whales were also seen in the southern section. The most eventful sighting of both non-grid sections came in the southern part where three Pacific Right Whale Dolphins were well- observed. These came up to the ship and rode the wake of the bow for twenty minutes(photographs were taken). The non-grid mammals sighted are summarized below. Seals Sea lions Right W D Striped D Porp. sp.
