a "white bird" was reported around the
lights at 0400 and again at 0600
this morning.
Very black back, underparts, with very
white in claps. White outside of rump patch,
up about ½ as far as Sewell's underwing,
with what appeared to be a heavy and large
black border. Flees just like Sewell
(good view at fairly close range)

an all dark bird flying like an albatross,
baby or early smeller was seen by the
crew during the plankton tolar (ca. 1200)

strong, dark & broad underwing border. Sun shot
sun onto the bird color (which appeared)
fleet in contrast to a definitely grey back.
