After lunch we went to the museum, and thendrove out to Beach where we drove on the sands. There are quite extensive groves of Palmetto or W. bean Frust. Back from the shore the woods are thick with shrubs and vines, much live oak. Fries etc. In the evening at 8. The breeder meeting was held in the Francis Marion Hotel. The usual doutine of reports & Committees Election & honorary fellows and members was gone through. There were many more candidates for members than the five who could be elected. There was much debate and numerous ballots. The meeting did not adjourn until after 12 o'clock.
