Tuesday March 19 To Jackson Left Elk at 8 o'clock to reach back along the east side of the valley to Kelly, [illegible] the route to the Antelope Range station then cut across through the foothills to the mouth of Dutch Creek Canyon There were no elk at all in these hills and none had been seen at the mouth of the Canyon for a long time.
