May 25. 1915. Goldonda Nevada Arrived at Goldonda in the early morning. Made enquir about getting to McDermitt and about the facilities for outfitting there. Spent Part of day walking around the country observing birds etc. on account of the higher prices prevailing at points in Southeastern Oregon, far from the railroads and the uncertainty I being able to procure suitable help there, I decided that it would be best to outfit here if suitable terms can be made. Enginced J.E. Rembut Co. and they recommended a man who they thought would go, and said I could fly on him. He is away today but met me as her tomorrow.
