Tuesday June 20 Owyhee River For Prognathia Pterolophia and finished up some accumulated work. Shot a Coyote from the camp a Chuck [illegible] mud is [illegible] spanning on the shallows The valley is crissed with patches of sagebrush and pleasant. The Cotton predominates in the alluvial areas, which are numerous and extensive. A little alfalfa is raised in the valley but hay seems the the powerful crop Monday June 21. My traps received a few specimens but it is difficult to get much, though I have a long line of traps out. Some brush rabbits (Borophagus) among the sagebrush in the low hills. They seem to keep up on the hills in preference to the valley Tuesday June 22 Shot a few specimens and made them up
