Tuesday Oct 7 Left Cite as we had to climb up Track. I came about 4 miles from Jodhons Camp up the valley for further [illegible] pine groves where something had eaten [illegible] Wednesday Oct 8 We left our camp early and followed the Trail. It ascends up the valley. The Trail gradually climbing out of the valley through a brush front. (Shrub) The Ashcroft Trail at 11 at B.L.A. Company Camp (Coal). From here this Trail crosses [illegible] trail. We had dinner on the Road about a mile and a half from B.C.A. I then went up about 2 1/2 miles. I camped a short distance below Timberline.
