Does not think feeding will cause them to any extent Thinks the Game Preserve is a good thing and if the elk are to be protected the Preserve as a good protection Thinks 7/3 of the adult cows have young None one calf Has known 2 40 or 50 calves to perish at a crossing place on the Gros Ventre when the mothers had crossed and deserted them Thinks elk there decreased in last 2 or 3 years some most of the young have died Few spikes are now found. Spikes are very early, & Elk in Spring are much infested with ticks which are on the boughbrush. Would like to see the Govt cooperate with the State, and the hunting privileges were not curtailed The bodies which decay in the meadows and stream cause a great deal of annoyance and smell to the breeding ground 2 migratory 7 flies. The stink in some places is intolerable The streams are polluted. The carcasses have to be removed from morning and Land belonging to Kelly on which Lewis pine trees as a good feeding ground, especially that land lying with both hills.
