staying for 10 days.
The Tullibee (scorpionhead)
only a few are taken
before September and
these come from the
Cats nearby. By this
beginning of September they
arriving in great numbers
from the sea, reach
a small river about
15 miles above Red River
and only a few reach
that far the South.
This stream and spawn
in very deep basin
at the mouth of Red River
as many as 107 are
captured in a single net.
They are abundant
During September and
October.
The Red sucker has the
same movements as the
gray sucker.
The Pike is not common
the six horned bullhead
rarely comes to Red River
but does sometimes come
The Flounder is rather
rare on the coast
but does not enter
the Muskellunge.
There is a small bluefish
without scales with a
small dorsal fin.
There is a kind of trout
in a round leddy
very fast and very heavy
having only a smaller
body cavity.
