smaller streams run past on the right bank Toward spring Mr. passed some camps of Indians who were fishing on forks. Caught in the eddies. Saw a part of Deade Ranks and after a short search found them next with Ziggo Fork them and that parent rest at cage of clay bank beneath white shiner The male was shy and was not taken Sunday June 26 Made a fairly early start and paddled on down the river. Passed a great many islands. Were much delayed by head wind and did not make a very good day. We encamped about 12 PM, a short distance below some Indian Names on the right bank. Passed many high banks mainly on right side. Passed a range of hills to the left of River and at camp another poor range lies to the north a short distance back from the river. Learned from Indian that Old 7 Foot Hope is just below across
