Spent a [illegible] in the trenches along a stony ridge for several hours, and then descended the hill to Wachwara Sunday, arriving about 2.30. The early back dawn the men had left on our side captured one, the next 14500 went to descend the river which we had to date to get allow us to reach the marching in time for the summers with three. The 1473 people were of the opinion that they started at once on our side so as to catch the R.C. Mission Bears, which had left the enemy before, at Grote Capri and come back on heaven supplies on their through the rapids on. They for made ready to leave on the following day as or could not get our cause in readiness before that time.
