Transcription
The coloring is as in previous stage. The ground color a clear black. The tubercles not ringed. The lateral line heavy. It's signals more distinct & contrasting white. Head Hacker. A few black hairs on seg. 2 much longer than the rest. Legs and prolegs black - yellowish wolting (under parts more distinctly yellow). Apatea non noticera. Maltin Laws - July 18. Tegument Antennae and post. dorsal tuffs not defined by the color of the fine hairs. These later all more or less tinged w. dusky blackish to less posteriorly (ant. !). Body color less clear black. A suff. manifest dorsal velvety black band varying much in distinctness and lately bleeding anteriorly beyond 4/5s. The two dorsal or sub. dorsal yellow orange patches on 10 distinct; in some continued anteriorly on each segment by a yellowish orange shade gradually disappearing anteriorly (first beyond 7th segment) Sub stigmatal orange band varying in distinctness (8th not ant. to 4). Stigmata clear contrasting white Head nearly black shining, jaws white - palp black (Subdels much light shining) ... S. Spun July 24 25 - cocoon of blackish silk.
