Apatite occiduatae. On Apple. If the lobelian group the larva having Muscana habit - but- only approaching the same coloring in its early stages. Mature larva rest on Twig. under glass seen to be powdered w. black pts. A broad dorsal bluish black band ending in a large hump on leg 11. Edg. ant. On ey 4-10 inclusive is a peculiar shaped ornament. consisting of a velvety- black ground in which are included six epts: two placed longitudinally forming a dorsal row of dark orange epts. (almost connected on 9-10) Two burnished blue black epts placed externally to the posterior end of each antennae orange ept. And externally of all a straw colored ept forming a s.d. row. A broad s.d. pale lilac band broken by the dorsal ornament and a much narrower and less bright
