Nonagria subflava Larva and pupa in reeders July 25. Dull white tinged with bluish green, without marks except a faint brownish set tub. Wearing, Thorax colorless hairs: 1 larger than the rest just post stigmal on above stig and 2 dorsal pain. The post estimated to the anterior. On 2-3 a transverse row of 10 provides the post stigmatal stigmata white black ringed. Frontal shield dirty light brown indistinct port and est. Head light shining brown w. darker mottling very small. Very long and slender L. 50mm diam abt. 4.5 mm. Larva enters about a foot from the base of reed and eats its way down to base.
