After 1st Month- May 15.- 11 Days. Above dull purplish darker in the subdorsal region, ringed with green. Below dull yellowish. A dorsal two s.d. and substigmatal line whitish, the s.d.s faint and less clearly marked especially the inferior of the two. Signalet and reflex. Tubo- blackish and indistinctly ringed. A few whitish motting above Ante. Long. lines. Tails and prolegs, black. Head and anterior shield. Single (mation) 6 mm. After second month- May 22 7 days Much as before the markings more distinct- especially the dorsal and lateral lines and the set. Tubers. Purple shades most prominent in region of stigmata. L. 10 mm. After third month- May 28 4½ slugs. Markings as before but more distinct - esp. the sub. stig. line which is faint on anterior legs. Two white ringed. set. Tub. placed diag. antero → inf. post. very distinct. 2 similarly placed in dorsal region. lat. to dorsal line, somewhat less. 25. Others indistinct. Legs with an external neutral shade and a few black pts. Pleura black. Head and anal seg. light brown. Color above (and below) on 1-3) dull rather rich purple ringed w. green. rep. dorsally. Below light green. 2. a blotch of purple below the stigmatal line on each segment Dorsal lines as a bluish tinge - L. # rep. by 1 on 123 and 2nd placed diag. on 224
