117 Tues. Oct. 19 I was awake again the sunrise which was very beautiful. We came into Rundah at about 10; saw a Chinese junk in the harbor. Roberts the wireless man took Mrs. Thorne from a fellow passenger and myself down the beach and showed us & over the wireless station, which was not working on acct. of Rajah Beroth's birthday. There was an avenue of Pithecolobium dulce and Barringtonia trees along the way. I collected a few rock plants; two Euphorbices, a Eustolaria and one wild currant vine. After tiffin the bloomers and I went crab on the hillside; I found the place covered with a puzzling Lygodium dichotomum? also collected a few other ferns, a jasmine and a composite. Gathered some blitorea seeds and some Littler for Roberts. Visited with Roberts for awhile after dinner and then fank my plants in green and went to sleep on deck.
