Sun, Oct 17 I had a good nights sleep last night: was awake for ? most gorgeous sunrise! Had Tea and wrote up my diaries and had breakfast at 9.30! started out almost immediately and took the road leading down the coast; found many of the ferns in common with the P.D.; got a very interesting afternoon ? in a lime stone car. I got pretty warm and reached the boat at 12 just a head of a shower; had a bath and changed before tiffin, Put my plants in press in a shed on the wharf. Dined and had tea and then Dr. Osme came and we picked up the bleuens and went for a walk out toward the insane asylum and found many interesting things; got hold of Lygodium dichotomum; Had a most delightful time with Dr. Osme. Lofell on deck after dinner and went to bed early.
