Wed. Oct. 13 Had a heavy rain last night which kept me awake some, had an early bath and break fast and came into Lambswanga at the lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Locley; a charming morning's ride. Went to the S.D. office, the Bailor shop and then loafed around my room until noon, Went up to Fairsia's cabin and visited awhile and then with a long walk in the country and met Blair (Sub. Rev.) on the way home back about four and Sally and I went down on the beach and collected some shells. Had my bath and dressed before dinner. Sat around the hotel and listened to the music and watched them dance awhile. Blair, Merrill and I walked down to the wharf and had a smoke, came to my room and tried to rest but the mosquitoes were so bad I had to go to bed.
