108 Sun. Oct. 10 I was up before six: had my bath and an early breakfast and at 7.30 joined Mr. Cameron Mr. Rawlin Mr. Buckingham and two Filipino engineers and we walked out about 3 miles and they walked up through the gorge where they are to build the waterworks: we waded the river several times and saw some most attractive scenery and interesting plants. I gathered some of Decern Prunthia Lumbang roots. We stopped at the nursery gardens on the way back, got home in time to change before dinner. After tiffin I joined the other fellows and went to the ball game. Met Dr. Baker there. After the game I went to the Transport "Lisburn" and met Chap. Lair and Mrs. Clements and we walked out into the cemetery & then came back and I had dinner with them. I was pretty tired and went to bed at nine
