Sah. Feb.27 I had a smoke before daylight and was up soon after five, packed up first and then had breakfast and left Tribays for Phota Belud at 7. I walked for the first two hours up over the ridge and down to a little stream, shady and very beautiful. At about 9 I took the ferry and rode and my boy as well as the one in case of the horse dropped behind. It was hot and fine in the sun. I got into the rest house at 11.30 and and waited for my boy to come with my lunch. Left there shortly after one and reached Phota Belud at 3.30. Mr. Brockenbury (P.B.) is away but I took possession of his house. Had afternoons tea seemed mighty good, fixed up some specimens, went to the office and then wrote up my notes did a little fore- liminary packing and then drunk to bed. Am pretty well tired out and can a little more from riding
