Thurs. Nov. 25 Thanksgiving Day. I was stirring early this morning and after an early breakfast I finished up my packing and chaplain, and Mrs. Clemens came down the trail a little way at 7.30 as I said my farewell to them. Even the whole world gave me a farewell Would love to live a year at Kiam if I could be alone. It has been a bright and beautiful day and I went dropped down the mountain with my boy and six coolies (3 misty) crossed the river high up the stream and came into Kiam a different way from which we work up: more attractive. Reached K. at 10.15 and had a little lunch and a smoke. Then I packed changed my dress out in the sun, collected a few ferns, two new ones as far as I can tell and that her made up my day. Somehow there is a slily that I am alone. Had a dinner of rice and sardines. I lovely myself on Kiam-Bala, like the "Kelpine Blows" and then to bed never after dark.
