152 Mon, Mar, 22 I was up early as usual. and it was a beautiful clear sunshiny morning. We had a hasty break fast then to Caphlains and I left Sumpah and 4 boys and started at 7.15 for the Marai-Parai Spur: went over the ridge back of Tricus, then two lesser ridges of rice fields, found Ophinglenum in one, crossed the Daburnberg river and then up on a ridge which Sumpah called Marai-Parai Spur then dropped down to the Tini taki criver, very small and then up a steep slope to a cave under a rock (12,15') which the natives call Lindition. Had some cold lunch and then went up on the open spur of Low, St. John, Norland and Min Gibbs, Found Schiziq and many interesting ferns on the way up; also Strpenthes Rajah (?) Had a heavy rain, Sumpah fled to camp; I went back, changed my clothes and we had took rice and corn, (to Caphlains salmon) for dinner, then a smoke and to bed.
