Mon. Nov. 15 Slept a very little last night for the first time. There was all the confusion in breaking camp and we had what could hardly be called a breakfast. At 8.40 I started with Semphat and my boy for Lobang. I twittered at the first open place to enjoy the sunshine and collected to my hearts centent. Took it very slowly and was glad to get into the warmer altitudes. Had a wonder- ful fine view of "Pumjah". At about 5:00 feet above Numbur- naugam Semphat showed me where Ong Sui, the chaplain's china man "Sherlock Holmes" was buried. He sleeps high on the mountains which he wished to do as a pilgrimage. At Numbur-naugam I stopped for lunch and had sunshine and rain together. Found the way down my steep and slippery and I reached Lobang at 4.45. Not too dry clothes, making camp and supper of comteer and eggs, a smoke and much contentment
