several bottles containing the records of former ascents. viz Capt Larnmouth Royal Navy and party who made the survey of the top, Miss Gibbs who made the ascent for botanical purposes. Formerly of the Forestry Bureau Manila. Maulders of the Sarawak Museum? Pilg ? and some others. It was bitter cold we deposited our "Pir Money Pickle" bottle with our record and they came clear. I found a very delicate little parsley on the way down. We packed up our plants. I had a smoke to warm me and we turned over our rain coats to Lamah Semjoh & Bayon and much regretting our entire depth of any view from the top we began to descend over the same way. We collected some by the way and I came on ahead with Lamah and my boy and got into camp at 4. A very suc- cessful trip considering the time of year and weather. Day clothes, napkin, a smoke and tea &c.
