Sab.
Nov. 6. Did not funk in as much
sleep as I expected to last
night and was up at daylight.
After breakfast I put my new
plants in green and changed
drivers. Put my blankets out
in the morning sunshine but
we had a little rain before
lunch time.
I have had rather of a lazy
day of it: in the afternoon
I fixed up my shoes, wrote
up some field labels, stood
around and watched the Chaplain
put up his orchids and we
have had some talk with some
of the herd men like Shemphah
and Lamah about going to the
lips of the mountains. We added
cucumbers, to the list of our vegetable
tables, at lunch time.
We had our meal rain
in the afternoon and after
dinner I sat at my front
door and smoked and watched
the night come on. This is
a wonderfully quiet and restful
place.
