120 Fri Oct. 22 Woke up at six and had my both. Mrs. Clements got into her overalls and we climbed up the hill to the Constantino look-out station but could not see Ring's Falls. We discovered a large swamp on the other side and made for that and found no end of interesting things; ceratopteris thalio- triches by the thousand. We waded through the swamp after redges etc. and at about 11 o'clock we were loaded down with things; Mrs. Clements wanted to continue on but decided the matter and came home. Put a few things in freezer after tiffin and then I went up through a ravine on the hill side after a certain pateris? which I found in quantities; Kept on through the jungle up to a path and followed that down to opposite the Constantino House; got some interesting ferns, a adiantum or kind say? Worked until 10.30 at my felouts and writing up my diaries
