R.B. Cunin 1869 McKay Island 24 Oct. Small colony E of main colony. Nest eggs: 8 Naked young 15- Small young 9. 16 39 A few of the naked young could not have hatched more than a day or two ago 27 Oct. Beef samples collected today reveal the following: 50 samples determined every one but one was composed 100-98% of spider. 10 very fresh squid gave the following measurements - per only (Ophelia neptuni of head + tentacles), six mm 110 91 63 69 47 76 72 29 37 82 676 an average per length 9 .67.6 mm. This is considerably larger than the beef samples of Sooty or Common Willy terms and I would imagine. The two species are not closely related to each other. The Lesser Frigate, feed for them at or they are parasitizing larger species such as the Tortoises. Ten samples weighed as follows: 56.0 100% squid 79.5 11 41.7 11 46.7 11 30.3 11 59.1 45% Scombroid (1X2 mm), 55% 38 g. 53.4 180? squid 45.9 11 41.4 11 57.0 11 511.0 are 51.1 grams per beef.
