Mexico, The Snake Country (Nevada) and on the western slope from the Columbia to S. California, but apparently rather rare. Found only in Humboldt Pass, Nevada, and in the Walisahd Mt., 5-6,000 ft. alt. July, September. 2. Cuscuta - Critica, L. var. Torelliana, Chois. (Ben. Chou) Oct. 8, 1864 - Shore of Neos River, near Brigham City 2 sp. Northern Mexico and S. California. Apparently S. American specimens and the species variable in size & shape, flowers nearly purple or or purplish 2-3" long, and then nearly white in May, and in winter aluminous at very long & stringy, in latter, almost a compound flower in three. 3. Cuscuta - Tenuiflora, Enger (Gr. Munn) Sept. 20, 1868 - Humboldt Pass, Nevada - 6,000 ft. (or Astre + Calyp?) 6 sp. Illinois and Missouri to the upper Missouri; New Mexico, Arizona; and the White Sand Dunes (Lyall). 4. C. Californica, Chois. var. A. graciliflora. California. Aug. 4, 1865 - E.
