Elshadrae andisophyllina, C. A. Mey.- A low diffusely branched shrub (20
high), the branchlets mostly fascicled at the apex on either side of the
numerous joints, thickened at the nodes, smooth, sticky, yellowish
brown; sheaths 2-3 clefts, the lobes long, spatulate, or lanceolate, a linear
aculeate, deciduous; stamens numerous, opposite clusters usually 3,
or more, sessile or on shortly peduncled, anthers about 6, mostly sessile, the
filaments three times longer than the sepal involucre ; pistils numerous, axillary, [illegible]
