Camp 17. About 2 miles Beyond Oceana, on the Hum- Bold River. 143. I suppose this to be parasite from its general resemblance to Epiphege. But Have no direct proof of the fact. It was quite common on the Borders of the Sage Brush district and the area slop proper. It removed the hand, caked earth from above it with much force-and seems to have partly blossomed before its entire exposure. Camp 18. Canon in West Humboldt Range, 10 miles from Oceana. 144- Epilobium. Borders of streams and springs in high mountain canons.
