bottle pinched; sheath more or less exceeding the simple obtuse-fused bracteae;
[illegible] equals lanceolate, acute, more than twice longer than the 6 stamens; stipules included,
shorter than the slender prismatic ovary which is crowned with the myelate style, cap-
itate ovate oblong, triangular, obtuse, 3-celled, equally or shorter than the carpels,
and ovule, striate, articulate, long, candelabrum. [illegible] of Colorado & California,
to Washington Territory & Utah.
