2. Fireworks, Zone, was collected by Fremont (August 1844) in ditch found from Calif. to Wash. Territory, is scarcely distinguishable from the last one by its minor stamens placed, occupying the base of the petals and extending upwards along the nerves but not as far on the well defined stamen 2. This seems to be the plant in Z. planum.
141. [illegible] Marinimum, Bth. (Hypocynthis sp.) 24-104 Anderson, near Coos City, - California - a spur 3/4" and has the cell nearly but not ends. 3-6' high. Roth bulbiferae, covered with a fibrous matting remains of former growth.

H. Hypocynthis minor, Lindb., is 101 Anderson, from near Coos City, 1/4-2' high, stem my eluber, extending the leaves which are 1-4" wide, Harris apparently ground white, capsule 2" in diam., or a flake 1/4" long, ovate 6" long.

Allium anceps, Kill. - Calif. 2, 109, E. 32. - Bulbous, 2-6' high - shorter than the broad-leaved species, leaves 1/4" x 2 1/2" broad, sheaths broadly marginated, 1-2" broad, umbel with 2 broad membranous concave curved bracts, many flowers - rays 1/4" long. Perianth tubulose at base, segments minute lanceolate, acute, stamina about equally to perianth, slightly shorter at base, exceeding the style - stigma nearly entire, capsule oblong, cells 2-6-celled. Rounded ended before maturity.
