610. Ganyon (Oregon) + Shielding (Ullar, Oregon) Bor. of Gymniosporus exfud (II, 130) (unless in below, to the last) - also collected by Hr. Eggleman in "Byron's Exfud", on the Blackwater, South Plate, at or Bridger's Pass, + by Dr. Suckley & Halotone Brits on the Upper Missouri. It differs from all California specimens of Gymniosporus in having the dorsals and orange spots on the center of the field & is being less decidedly yellow. The male organs of the latter have not been described and are not shown by the epid in Herb. Gray. - The species of this genus + of Cyclobothra (which should be reduced to it) can scarcely be satisfactorily defined upon the inadequate materials in our herbarium, & while none is known of the existing range variations in color, fruit + found habit.
