Oct 15. Game Law opn. Fine weather. (Rail closed 1893 & 1894) Between 35 & 40 hunters on marsh (that I counted from trail after leaving Pacific ave. for S.F.) Some of these, Shear, got 10 or 12 there. Weird that many of rail lit on rock wall of "creek" & one man there got 11. The "Emerald" with Ed. Taylor, Stanty Stephenson, Lein. Palmer, etc. got 400 at Belmont. Taylor said he had a small ones (Lora or Black) for me but they got lost in transit. Womer Brown says he gave away. Lein. Palmer got 1 or 2 so Taylor said. Jass Winant says he saw some. Blies says he gave away 2 that were 4/3 size.
