wafs:Eastward 27 4/24 Lots curlew being shot on Ala. Marsh. Blue-billson bay jf. 5/6 Halls. about 3 pair Horned Larks. must be breeding. 1trare Gairensis W. in swamp. Plnty Tree Swallows. G. b. Itrons nests full of young. Could hear them. pair Coos or someaux look like Scotars on slough from bridge just bt Alvarada. Got lots of squawks nests full eggs. 1 nest in vines 8 ft up Whistler 25ft up in Easy Trees all in swamp. More quail than last time & few doves. 5/13 Swamp between miles Drivington. Coots, marshwrens Nests of both. Loto rdwings & good many Yellow-head b.b. but no nests. Think they breed in- side of tulrs. Saw Threard Amer- can Bitterns. B-c right heron in young adult plumage.
