shot @ 29 in orchard got mix. Got a
pair on trees by grape vines of bowl alley.
11/30. About 40 band tailed pigeons
on cypresses w. of one off. Tennis
court. Has rained softly for a week
and these birds were out of their range.
Stole within gun shot & they all flew.
Lit on tallest pine N. of Trimmis,
fired @ 2 (approached under corn)
& got none (but after lunch found a
fine male under cypress at end
of back road) Lit lantern on
tallest pine W. of trhy roosts &
I was unable to get a good shot.
Lit for 4th time, on tallest pine
off. A blue bird & dropped a fine
male with choker bbl & X8's. Was
well filled with holes. Saw them
later going against rain direct S. Port
of view. Saw 1 straggler later.
3rd shot got what I suppose to be
