July 25, 1909.
The drake Cinnamon Seal shows light-colored
feathers around the base of the bill.
October 3, 1909.
The drake Cinnamon Seal is mottled
nearly all over, except for the back, and
also a patch on his abdomen where a
fine lot of rich colored new cinnamon
feathers have come in.
November 7, 1909.
The drake Cinnamon Seal's under-tail coverts
now are red in the center although those on
the sides are still barred. He shows some
red feathers on sides & rump also.
November 21, 1909.
Little or no change in the Cinnamon Seal;
has not lost wing quills yet.
December 12, 1909, have been
Red feathers appearing in Cinnamon Seal's
breast and sides and head. Change seems
to be quickening a little. Still retains old
primaries, however. For the last weeks new rectrices
have been replacing the old ones, one at a time.
