Anser albifrons.
April 14, 1909.
To-day I obtained my eighth individual
of this species. Like the others it was very
savage biting fiercely. It also exhibits the
mental fear and tries to hide, remaining
very quiet when anyone is near; this contrary
to what the Snow and Ross's Geese do when
they are first turned loose. The other
birds pick at it when it comes near,
as usual.
