Transcription
birds passed over eastbound; from their calls they
were apparently Euphagus cyanoccephalus. While
sitting on the train at the station I saw six
Passerine birds fly over headed past, just as
yesterday morning.
Along the seawall and mole ducks were
abundant as usual, all distant, however. One
cormorant was seen to alight in the water.
Two loons were noted, westbound.
Several Larus glaucescens and one or two
Larus californicus followed the steamer in
the western part of the bay.
This evening about 5:10 I saw several gulls
about the San Francisco ferry slips, although
it was raining and a very strong southeast
wind was blowing.

On the way to the train this morning I saw
a number of Passer domesticus.
Along the mole and seawall ducks were
abundant on the water despite the rough sea.
Several gulls were seen on the wing. Three
or four small land birds were seen flying east along
