Draw a Dendroica fea and duboui and several
Passer domestici in a pear tree near our house.
Feb. 3, 1908.
Alameda to and from San Francisco, bal.
In the morning it was foggy and Drote
inside the steamer. Several ducks, apparently
Scoup Ducks, were close up on the water close
to the mole, where they are seldom seen in clear
weather during the hunting season;
In the evening Drote on the forward
deck of the steamer. Larus californicus and
Larus glaucescens were seen on the San Fran-
cisco waterfront as usual. When a little
east of Goat Island I saw three ducks fly-
ing north high in the air, and a dozen
going south likewise one loon.

Conditions: - Moderate temperature; overcast; slight-
ly rainy; light winds.
Drote inside the steamer both ways.
Along the mole this morning there
were a good many ducks, a few stragglers being
close in. Scoters, Scoup Ducks, Blangula clangula,
and Aristonetta valinieria were recognized.
This evening a few bunches of gulls were
seen proceeding westward over the city; observed
along California St. between 4:30 and five.
Apparently Larus glaucescens & Larus californicus.
