Gulls. A few were seen; apparently some were Larus californicus. There were about a dozen gulls on a bank of mud in the deep slough. Phalacrocorax. About a dozen. Tafila acuta. A few flew over. Nettion carolinensis. A few Aythya vallisneria. Common. Aythya marila. A few. Aythya affinis. A few. Blangula clangula. Common. Oidemia deglandi. Two. Oidemia perspicillata. Abundant. Eriornatura jamaicensis. Common or almost abundant. Ardea herodias. A few. Sondpipers. Several small flocks. Owl. One in marsh. In addition to the above-named birds, I saw and shot two of the following species this afternoon in SandCandro Bay. Gulls. A few. Shot one immature Larus argentatus. Phalacrocorax. One. Aythya vallisneria. Common. Blangula clangula. A few. Eriornatura jamaicensis. Abundant. Sondpipers. Common. Symphemia semipalmata. Five. Squatarola squatarola. Common. Rallus obsoletus.
