Saw only two or three ducks along the mole, several gulls in flight low over the water.

Just after I had left the mole, a flock of cormorants, about 10 passed going S.E. We saw a few ducks in flight.
At High Street Station, I saw a few ducks & gulls pass quite low over the houses; they were going S.E.
Jan. 2, 1905.
[illegible] The following ducks were brought by hunters from Coyote hills, Alameda, bo.: - Anas boschas; Nettion carolinensis; Spatula clypeata; Dafila acuta, and Mareca americana.

During the past week golden-eyes have been abundant along the mole during the past week. They do not seem to fear the train, as not many fly when it passes.
