Aythya vallisneria. Abundant. A great many
flocks were seen passing westward early in the
morning, apparently following the chart line.
Later flock after flock, averaging about 20 to
a flock, passed over the marsh of San Leon-
Alro Bay.
Aythya affinis. Shot one.
Colymbus clangula. Common. Females the rule,
Shot one young male. No adult males seen. These
birds seldom congregate in flocks of more than
7 or 8.
Charadrius albus, common.
Oidemia deglardi. A few.
Perispicillata. Abundant. There was a
large flock of these birds off the mouth of the
out-off-lough.
At home I saw the following birds:-
Passer domesticus. Abundant.
Pipilo fuscos. 3 or 4.
Zonotrichia leucophrys, 3 or 4.
Dendroica auduboni. 5 or 6.
