Conditions: - cool; clear; no wind.
I got into a blind near Damon's slough before daylight. On the way over I disturbed quite a good many ducks. After I had been in the blind a few moments two Nettion carolinensis flew into my decoys; I shot one. I saw a few Oxyura vallencei.
Very few ducks in flight. A good many gulls
passed over.
In the afternoon I saw a few Darnisphila-
delphia. Ducks were flying quite frequently between
5 & 5:30 P.M. I shot a male Nettion Carolinensis after
ter dark in Damon's slough.
