Transcription
Along the seawall and mole, there were a few ducks
and grebes. Near the slough at the roundhouse there
were quite a few ducks in the shallow water. Off the
borax works there was a large flock of gulls evidently
after fish.
Drove inside the steamer hence did not see
much. On the San Francisco side Larus californicus
was abundant.

Conditions:- Cool; clear; no wind.
In the back yard Passer domesticus was
abundant; Zonotrichia leucophrys, 3 or 4; warbler,
2 or 3.
Draw the following birds, brought in by a
hunter: 1 Nettion carolinensis; 1 Blangula blangula;
Eriomatura jamaicensis.
The following birds were gotten by some hunters off
Boyote Hill:- Nettion carolinensis, 2 or 3; Dafila acuta, 2;
Spatula clypeata, 20; Limosa fedoa, 2 or 3; Sympheuna
semipalmata, 2 or 3; Rallus obsoletus, 1.
