Along the seawall and mole, there were a few ducks and grebes. Near the slough at the roundhouse there were quite a few ducks in the shallow water. Off the borax works there was a large flock of gulls evidently after fish. Drove inside the steamer hence did not see much. On the San Francisco side Larus californicus was abundant. DEC 11 1904 Alameda, Cal. Conditions:- Cool; clear; no wind. In the back yard Passer domesticus was abundant; Zonotrichia leucophrys, 3 or 4; warbler, 2 or 3. Draw the following birds, brought in by a hunter: 1 Nettion carolinensis; 1 Blangula blangula; Eriomatura jamaicensis. The following birds were gotten by some hunters off Boyote Hill:- Nettion carolinensis, 2 or 3; Dafila acuta, 2; Spatula clypeata, 20; Limosa fedoa, 2 or 3; Sympheuna semipalmata, 2 or 3; Rallus obsoletus, 1.
