Time:- 7.30 A. M. to 11:30 A. M.
Conditions:- Moderate temperature; light winds;
clear; tide high.
Outside of the bridge I saw a good many
birds; none, however, within.
Rechmophorus occidentalis. 3 or 4. One in flight.
Columbuauritus. One.
" migriscollis. About a dozen.
Larus—— A few large gulls flying high.
" philadelphia. A young bird flew up as
I was shooting some terns.
Sterndforsteri. Common. Killed 5, all with
mottled heads (some very slightly).
Phalaecorax —— One in flight.
Ducks. A large flock of about 50 going west.
A few stragglers. Also the 2 following species:-
Oidemia deglandi. Common. Shot young bird.
" perspicillata. A few. " "
Sandpipers. Two small flocks.
