Limosa fedoa. Abundant.
No Plover.
Nycticorax nycticorax. Common.
Ardea herodias. A few.
Larus occidentalis. A few.
Larus philadelphia. Common. I shot three of these. The
first I used as a decoy. Two were young birds. I saw several with
black heads.

7:00 A. M. to 8:00 A. M.
Conditions:- Overcast; windy; temperature moderate.
Of course saw a good many Passer domesticus as I went down
the street this morning. I also saw a Nycticorax nycticorax fly over.
Along the seawall there were no birds going to the water being high.
On a narrow strip of sand near the roundhouse I saw a few
Larus occidentalis.
On the bay I saw quite a few Larus occidentalis and Larus
heermanni. All were flying eastward. The latter I did not see
until off Goat Island. Here I saw three or four Uria troile on
the water.
5:15 P.M. to 5:35 P.M.
Conditions:- Overcast; windy; moderate temperature.
On the trip over to-night I saw only Larus occidentalis and
Larus heermanni. I saw a small group of the former on the water
off Goat Island.
