Sept. 7 (cont.)
At Oakland Airport;
Bb. Clover, Killdeer (at. aus noisy),
Willetts, 4 Downtchers, Godwits, 2 Yellowlegs,
Gulls (W. Cali. 7 prot. Ring b.), Forster Terns (10t).
Clapper Rail, 2 seen, others heard. Also
Bryant Bar. Sp. Horned Larks, Song sp.
We saw no Sanderling but they may have
been present on the bay shore. Sun was too
low in west to see what was there. We saw
2nd Marsh Hawks. Along the way; Sparrows
Hawks were seen. Bush Tito heard (S.M.) and
Brown Tanagers lit. Half Moon Bay T.S.M. Also
St. Blue Heron or Crystal Sp. Lake where a
dot was wandering along the shore.
Sept. 9. Admission Day. Boulder Creek. Cassia Vines
still singing but less frequently. Cilicatels
Warbler, Rb. Thrush; Ducks heard Golden.
Crowned Flycatchers - Not as we went to S. Cruz 2-4 p.m.
Saw two Taliters, 3 Turnstones. No Sanderling.
W. Gulls increasing (10+). Farallon Cormorants
on rocks (no Bairds or Brandt's seen), A long
line of dark birds flying off-shore from Light
House Point were Shearwaters, Distinguished
about 1000, flying northward - probably a
local movement.
Sept. 10. We drove home over Ben Lomond Mt. & Daven-
port and via N.I. to San Francisco. Foggy
at times. We lunched south of Biggin Pt.
where there was a large tidal pool and
