1938 Many chickadees were seen in the canyon above the bridge and Lutecent Warblers were spared for nesting. A Warbling Vireo sang several times but passed on. Turkey Buzzards (air) were soaring about the rocky peaks and a pair of Redtails above the upper canyon. Each one of the pair dropped the feet as they neared each other. Flora: Wild poplacer, mustard, poppy, cream buttercups, shooting stars, sorrel, sage, bright blue eyes, yellow List: Coat (near Pleasanton); Kildeer (2 ptr.); Duck (a few in overflowed areas); Quail (one flock); Turkey Vulture, Shikla Hawk(1); Redtail (air). 2yo Nandet.
