W. Pelicans - 300+ in pool south of roadway.
Eared Grebes - 400+ last pool m. next bridge
(mixed with B. Gulls)
Prinails - a few-
Redbacked Sandpipers - not many - but
outnumbered other kinds -
Mt. View Marsh. 3 p.m. Tide right for best
observations. Birds abundant.
Bonaparte Gulls - many -
Avocets - a few.
Prinails - a few
Kielder ab. B.B. Clover very ab.
Hudsonian Curlews - 100+
Long-billed Curlews - 50+
Willetts - ab.
St. Yellowlegs- 2 (near by)
Lesser .. 1 - thrushes, light, higher
pitched than St. Y.
Last Sandpiper - many.
W. Sandpiper - very few
Redbacked - 30+ near highway
Dovewiters - 50-60 "
Godwit 2.
At Saratoga Gap a large flock of Robins was flying
over the summit southward. (to roost?) 4:45
